July 17th – 20th marked Everglades Boats’ annual Owners’ Rendezvous! Everglades owners from all around the country were invited to attend the event in the Florida Keys – more than 20 Everglades owners made it down with their friends and families for the pirate-themed three-day party.
After checking into the Holiday Isle Postcard Inn, the Rendezvous began with a treasure hunt organized by the Islamorada-based Yacht Works team – boats powered up and down the keys finding buried treasure and completing challenges. Competition was fierce with winners taking home some serious booty: Yeti coolers. The third place winners were the Naz family on their boat “Peezy Special,” second place was the Weiger clan on the “Get Away,” and winning the entire hunt was the Venturi crew on the “Predator.”
After the treasure hunt, the group gathered at the Angler House for a pirate costume party and surf-n-turf dinner – complete with a costume contest, dancing, and pirate décor.
The Rendezvous activities culminated in an epic Sunday Funday. The entire crew set out and dropped anchor for some sunny sandbar fun – including music, food and drink, a casting contest, and good old fashioned floating.
The weekend was a huge success thanks to the entire Yacht Works team, the Everglades team, and the more than 100 people who attended. Did you miss out this year? Stay tuned for details about next year’s Rendezvous to join in on the fun!
